Gere
Cooper In the fall of 1983 he was promoted to the position of carpenter apprentice which started his career in the field. Working during the day and going to school at night, he was able to complete his apprenticeship in three years instead of four. In 1985 he was awarded the title of foreman / superintendent and started running work with a full crew. "Along with these new responsibilities came the challenges and excitement of completing a project from the start", says Gere. In 1996 he joined the Hakanson team and continued to build projects on an even larger scale. He says he finds "great satisfaction in working for a company that strives to build the highest quality buildings," and "looks forward to the future of the tilt-up industry as it continues to improve due to new techniques, designs and products in this ever changing market." In
2004 Gere was promoted to general manager. His valuable field experience
helps Hakanson Construction work closely with owners,
architects, and
general contractors to build a more efficient job.
